As chairman of SAE AS-3 Fiber Optics and Applied Photonics Committee, COTSWORKS’ CEO, Ken Applebaum is overseeing the Fall Meeting Monday, September 25th through Thursday, September 28th in San Diego, California.
The SAE AS-3 Fiber Optics and Applied Photonics committee is committed to creating best practices in fiber optics systems and applied photonics, design, and maintenance. It provides definition and support, and assures standardized components and systems approaches for fiber optic data buses. This includes sensors, architecture, and requirements for advanced fiber and electro optic technologies.
Participants in the SAE AS-3 committee include OEMs, suppliers, aircraft fiber optics and applied photonics systems companies, consulting firms, government and others across the aerospace and defense industries.
A four-day dynamic agenda has been created, that includes goal planning, discussion and selection of standards, technical presentations, and discussion points, presented by industry leaders.
