COTSWORKS INC. participated at the Paris Airshow Exhibition in the W.L. GORE and Associates booth. COTSWORKS presented a video integration display utilizing W.L. GORE’s fiber optic and high-speed copper data product offerings in conjunction with COTSWORKS’ optical transceivers and interconnects to simulate an aerospace network. The goal of the display was to demonstrate how video data, captured at multiple locations on an aircraft, is transmitted through several nodes across different media types to display real time images.
W.L. GORE’s Cat6 cables connected and powered cameras and displays via both copper and fiber ethernet links. The conversion was achieved using COTSWORKS’ 1 Gbps Lightning Sticks. Traffic was sent to a video aggregator box below the display. Behind the display was a PCB board, populated with COTSWORKS transceivers and COTSWORKS LC, LC-T, and
LC-R termini, which connected to W.L. Gore fiber optic products.
